Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie “The Dictator” (2012) finally hit the theaters this weekend after months of over-the-top promotion and hype. After rumors ran rampant that Baron Cohen was banned from the Oscars, the British comedian showed up anyway and spilled the “ashes” (purportedly of Kim Jong-Il) on Ryan Seacrest.

 

Then the comedian appeared on “The Daily Show” with armed female bodyguards. He even surfaced on “Saturday Night Live” to torture film critic Roger Ebert into giving him a good review for his movie.
